Lube Truck Technician

We are currently hiring a Lube Truck Technician based out of our Lacombe location.

​

This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable dealing directly with customers. You will operate a fully equipped lube truck and perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on agricultural equipment throughout our service area.

What Is a Lube Truck Technician?

Our Lube Truck Technician performs scheduled maintenance and basic repairs on customer equipment at their farms and businesses.

The lube truck is fully equipped, stocked, and ready to go, with tools supplied by Pentagon Farm Centre.

The position is based out of Lacombe and will provide mobile service throughout our Red Deer, Lacombe, and Leduc territories.

This is an independent position. The Lube Truck Technician is responsible for communicating with customers, scheduling upcoming services, preparing the required parts and fluids, travelling to customer locations, completing the work, and accurately documenting the service performed.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong customer service skills. You will deal directly with customers and represent Pentagon Farm Centre at their farms and businesses.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to contact customers, explain required maintenance, and coordinate service times.

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills. You will be responsible for keeping track of upcoming services, appointments, filters, fluids, parts, and other required supplies.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your daily workload with limited supervision.

  • Reliable and punctual. Customers are relying on you to arrive when scheduled and complete their services in a timely manner.

  • Strong attention to detail. Correct fluids, filters, grease points, service intervals, fluid levels, and documentation are extremely important.

  • Clean and professional work habits. Customer property must be left in the same or better condition than it was when you arrived.

  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Some customers have shops
