Lube Truck Technician

We are currently hiring a Lube Truck Technician.

What is a Lube Truck Technician?

- We have a lube truck that is turn key and ready to go, tools are included.

- The truck is based out of Lacombe, but will be responsible for services in our Red Deer, Lacombe & Leduc territories.

What are we looking for?

- Good customer service skills; you will be dealing directly with customers and representing Pentagon Farm Centre at their farms/businesses.

- Good communication skills; to be able to contact customers, explain what service is required, and coordinate timing.

- Organization; you are responsible for keeping track of upcoming services, parts, filters, fluids, and appointments.

- Reliable and punctual; customers are relying on them to show up when scheduled.

- Attention to detail; correct fluids, filters, grease points, service intervals, and documentation are important.

- Cleanliness; it is very important that you leave the customer's yard in the same or better shape than it was in when you arrived.

- Comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions; some customers have shops and some do not.  Some services will be done in the middle of a field while units are being used.  The oil sometimes is very hot.

- Basic troubleshooting ability; able to recognize when something isn't right and report issues back to the shop for the technicians to know about and repair.  Able to repair small things, like burnt out lights, document error codes, etc

- Able to maintain the lube truck; keep it clean, organized, stocked, and ready to go.

- Clean driving record.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$40.00 per hour depending on skill level and experience

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8 hour shift

• Saturday rotation (frequency depends on location and how many techs are on staff)

• On call rotation (frequency depends on location and how many techs are on staff)

• Overtime
