We are currently hiring an Agricultural Parts Specialist at our Westlock location.

This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who understands agricultural equipment, enjoys working with customers, and can accurately identify and supply the parts needed to keep equipment running.

​

Our Parts Department supports both our customers and our Service Department, so we are looking for someone who is organized, accurate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during the busy farming seasons.

What Does the Position Involve?

Our Agricultural Parts Specialists are responsible for helping customers and technicians identify and obtain the correct parts required to repair and maintain agricultural equipment.

A typical day could include helping a customer at the parts counter, answering phone calls, looking up parts using electronic parts catalogues, preparing parts for our Service Department, ordering parts from manufacturers, receiving and putting away inventory, and following up on backorders or special orders.

Accuracy is extremely important. Supplying the wrong part can result in unnecessary downtime for a customer or delays for a technician working on a repair.

​

During our busy seasons, the Parts Department can become very fast paced. You must be able to prioritize multiple requests, communicate effectively, and continue providing accurate service when things get busy.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous agricultural parts experience is strongly preferred

• Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and how mechanical systems and components work

• Ability to identify and look up parts using electronic parts catalogues and manufacturer systems

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership and manufacturer software

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Organized and able to manage multiple customer and technician requests at the same time

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to the Parts and Service teams

• Comfortable communicating with customers in person, by phone, text, and email

• Ability to recognize when additional information is required before ordering or supplying a part

• Willingness to learn new equipment, products, and manufacturer systems

• Reliable and punctual

• Valid Alberta driver's licence

• Ability to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and participate in weekend and on-call rotations during our busy seasons

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Saturday rotation; frequency depends on staffing levels and time of year

• On-call rotation during busy seasons

• Overtime when required during busy seasons

Compensation

$22.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on agricultural parts experience, equipment knowledge, technical ability, and overall skill level.

​

This position is best suited to someone who enjoys agriculture, understands machinery, and takes satisfaction in helping customers and technicians find the right parts quickly and accurately.

​

Experienced agricultural parts people are extremely valuable to us, but we are also willing to consider someone with strong agricultural or mechanical knowledge who has the right attitude and is willing to learn our parts systems.
