Meridian's Truck Load Augers are available in HD (Heavy-Duty) and TL (Truck Load) series. The HD augers have a heavier frame and belt, and the TL models utilize the frame and belt components of the size down HD models. For example, the TL12 is built with the frame/belt of the HD10, the TL10 is built with the frame/belt of the HD8. The only exception to this is the TL13 model, because there is no HD12. The longer lengths (HD53, HD59), feature truss and cable kits on the tube, to ensure longevity and rigidity for those lengths.

The HD models were historically used for more than loading trucks, which is why the frame is heavier and the lengths are available longer. These can still be used to fill some smaller bins, whereas the shorter length TL models are used to load trucks.
